Trophy Ridge Exotics is an incredible ranch to hunt, relax and just spend time outdoors. The Amico family are super friendly and go out of their way to ensure their clients have a great time. The lodging and amenities are 5 star to say the least, the main lodge is huge and the cabins are spacious and very well maintained.
The amount of game for the 200 acre ranch is off the chart too. We hunted hogs, and our four man group left with 6 pigs. There's a ton of hogs, and even some trophy Russian boar. We saw exotic rams, fallow and axis deer and a beautiful red stag among others.
Our guide (Jerisan) was a super nice kid. His knowledge of the ranch and ability to find the hogs during spot and stalk hunts was truly impressive. His skills in cleaning and quartering our pigs were also amazing. Jerisan was one of the highlights of our trip. He's a fantastic guide!
If you're looking for an inexpensive hog hunt at a world class lodge just an hour from Houston, Trophy Ridge is definitely your place!

I thoroughly enjoyed your place. I WILL BE ATTENDING ANOTHER HUNT THERE ASAP. The laid back, relaxing atmosphere feels like you are hunting at a hunting club that you have belonged to your whole life. The memories that were made this weekend are irreplaceable and will be cherished for a lifetime and we have the staff of Trophy Ridge Exotics to thank for that. The staff was excellent. They were incredibly knowledgeable of their animals they have on location. The manager/owner Gezilla was extremely helpful in planning our hunting trip and making sure it was executed flawlessly. Whenever we had a request no matter the size, big or small, she was on it right away and helped us accomplish everything we had set out to do this weekend. The guides wasted no time in getting you on the animal of your choice and knew seemingly everything about these animals, their habits and were extremely helpful in trophy selection. The accommodations are perfect with a main house for entertaining and two houses for lodging located on each side of the Main House. We cooked every night in the roomy kitchen located in the main house. Our group consisted of 15 men, so you can imagine how much food was prepared in this kitchen. The backyard was equally pleasing with a huge rock fire pit that is perfect for gathering around and catching up with old friends.
In closing, I could go on and on about this place but wanted to share some key features that ensured we will be returning again annually. And also I wanted to just thank the team at Trophy Ridge Exotics for a really great time. We couldn't have had this experience without your hard work and willingness to be helpful like you were. Thanks again guys and can’t wait until next time. Thanks.
